On 7th June 2025, our team - the 'Cardio Collective' will be hiking a huge 26 miles around the Torbay and South Devon Coast to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. We are a group of colleagues, and dare we say it - friends, who all work within Cardiology and specifically the Cath Lab; a place where the work of the British Heart Foundation is so important and valued.
As well as working with people affected by heart and circulatory conditions, many of us have family members directly affected too so this fundraising is not just for an incredible charity and our patients, but for all those we know and love who have experienced and are living with impacts of heart disease.
Please donate anything you can, all donations are so greatly received and immensely appreciated by all our team and of course, the British Heart Foundation. Thank you.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Our team, The Cardio Collective, is made up of a range of colleagues from the Cardiology department - Nurses, Cardiac Physiologists, Specialist Radiographers, a Cardiologist as well as a few of our loved ones who we've also roped in to join us!
