Story
Throughout June and July, housing association members across Wales will be putting their best foot forward for their chosen charity.
Caredig have stepped up to the challenge and staff (alongside residents) will be completing a walk between 1-10 miles on July 19th.
We are making this event inclusive so people can set their own challenges and complete a distance that is suitable to them.
Our chosen charity, whom we have worked closely with for many years is Exousia Trust (Zac's Place).
Exousia Trust was established in 1991. Over the years the work has developed considerably, notably the beginning of Zac's Place in Swansea in 1998. Zac's Place began as 'Church in a Pub?' initially, quickly finding a home on the margins of society using four different city centre bars over a six year period. By 2004 they moved operations into the old Gospel Hall in George Street in Swansea where it has continued to be based.
The vast majority of work is done by volunteers and funded by community donations and regular sponsors, supported by occasional small grants. This model has enabled us to be sustainable over a long period of time earning a reputation for being a place of pro-active care and concern for many who would otherwise be overlooked.
Donate today and join us in supporting Exousia Trust (Zac's Place) as they continue to provide support to those in need. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
