Wild Horse 200-Mile Ultramarathon · 15 April 2026

Action on Homelessness in Folkestone provides free meals and support to those sleeping rough in the area, or struggling with the cost of living. We have 2 sessions; one on Tuesdays, the other on Thursdays and regularly serve up to 80 diners at a session. We're based at Sunflower House, Folkestone.

Story

Many thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 15th April, I’ll be returning to the Wild Horse 200 in Wales — a 200-mile ultramarathon with around 33,000 feet of elevation along the route (that's higher than Mount Everest!). They've added an extra 4,000 feet of elevation from last year's route!

Last year, I made it to 143 miles before having to withdraw due to severe sleep-deprivation hallucinations. It was the biggest challenge I've ever undertaken - humbling, uncomfortable, and honestly a little scary — but it was also one of the most valuable learning experiences I’ve ever had.

This year, I’m going back, more determined than ever. Wild Horse 200 is a non-stop event with a 120-hour cut-off, so sleep management, mental resilience, and staying calm when things get hard will be just as important as the miles themselves. The training block this year has been longer, smarter, and built very deliberately around what I learned last time.

I’m once again using this challenge to raise funds for Action on Homelessness Folkestone, a charity I regularly support and one that does incredible work within the local community. Through volunteering, I’ve seen first-hand how homelessness can affect absolutely anyone.

We regularly serve up to 80 diners during our twice-weekly sessions, offering not just food but warmth, dignity, and human connection.

I’ll be covering all race-related costs myself — entry, transport, accommodation, kit, and everything else — so every penny donated goes directly to the charity and is genuinely appreciated.

I’ll be posting regular updates here in the lead-up and during the race, and there will be live tracking throughout the run which I’ll share once it’s available.

Thank you so much for reading, supporting, and being part of this journey — it truly means so much.

xx
