Story
I wanted to share some exciting news about a journey that has been both transformative and a little daunting.
Over the past year, I've undergone a massive change, dropping from 30st 7lbs (194kg) to 15st 3.0lbs (96.62kg). Many of you who have been close to me know just how significant this is.
It’s been over 32 years since I made a promise to myself—and to others—that if I ever got below 16 stone, I would jump out of a plane. Back then, I never really believed it would happen, but here we are today! I’m proud to say that I’ve officially booked my skydive, even though the thought of it honestly scares me quite a bit. Still, a promise is a promise, and I am a person who always keeps their word.
With that in mind, I’ve decided to make this skydive even more meaningful by doing it for a charity that is close to my family’s heart.
Sands is the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity, speaking up about pregnancy and baby loss, saving babies’ lives, and supporting bereaved families. Sands is building a community of compassionate, lifesaving changemakers whose voices inspire change and turn understanding into action. Together, we are saving babies’ lives and improving maternity safety and bereavement care.
I can only help Sands achieve their goals with your support. If you’re able, please be generous and donate to help me support this very worthy cause. Your contribution will make a real difference, and I’ll be forever grateful.
Thank you so much for your support.
Carl
