Story

My Ultra Marathon Journey – 112km Along Hadrian’s Wall 🏃‍♂️

On 13th June 2026, I’ll be taking on the biggest challenge of my life – running 112km (70 miles) along Hadrian’s Wall.

If you’d told me a couple of years ago that I’d even consider an ultramarathon, I’d have laughed. Anyone who knows me knows I enjoyed a good drink and more than my fair share of fast food. Fitness wasn’t exactly top of the priority list.

But in June last year, I joined the Built4Life programme with one simple goal:

✔️ Run a PB 10k

✔️ Become a fitter, better version of myself before turning 40 this year

That small decision changed everything.

Since then, I’ve:

• Completely changed my habits

• Improved my fitness and health

• Completed my first ever Half Marathon

• Run my longest distance to date – 30km

And now… I’m stepping it up massively.

The Next Level – The Wall (112km)

I’m aiming to complete The Wall – a 112km (70 mile) ultramarathon along the historic Hadrian’s Wall.

That’s nearly three marathons back-to-back.

Right now, 30km is my furthest distance. The step up to 112km is going to take serious discipline, commitment, and mental strength. There will be tough training days. There will be moments I’ll want to quit.

That’s where you come in.

Why I’m Doing This

I’m raising money for Children with Cancer to support this event and help make a difference to families who are fighting battles far tougher than any ultramarathon.

When I’m struggling at mile 50, 60, or 65, I’ll be reminding myself why I’m doing this.

This isn’t just about running anymore.

It’s about proving that change is possible.

It’s about pushing limits.

It’s about doing something that matters.

How You Can Help

Any sponsorship – big or small – would mean the world to me.

Your support will:

• Help raise money for an incredible cause

• Push me through the tough miles

• Stop me giving in when it gets hard

I’ve come a long way from the lad who preferred the pub and a takeaway to a long run… and I’m not stopping now.

13th June 2026.

112km.

Hadrian’s Wall.

Let’s do this. 💪
