Story
Hey! It’s me again, asking for charity donations 😂
On Sunday 7th September I will be taking part in the Great North Run 2025, I will be raising money for Sally's Unstoppable Journey, a fund created in aid of Bone Cancer Research Trust.
I am completing the run in honour of my wonderful friend Sally Saunders who in 2022 was diagnosed with bone cancer in her thigh after experiencing what she thought was just normal exercising pain. She underwent two gruelling surgeries to remove her entire femur bone and replace it with a titanium implant and is now thankfully cancer free! BCRT are entirely donation funded so any money I can raise will go towards a fantastic cause.
I am also running in honour of my incredible father-in-law Steve Coupe. We sadly lost Steve to cancer in March and said a hard goodbye this week. Steve was a military man through and through and was renowned for his constant fundraising efforts, completing many marathons, treks and three peaks challenges in his time, all raising lots of much needed funds for charities. All this earned him an MBE for services to charity and volunteering in 2023. Steve’s mantra of ‘Just do it’ will get me through on the day and I know he’ll give me that final push when I undoubtably need it!
If you can spare any pennies it would be very appreciated! Time for the training to start 💪🏼👟
