RSBC believe every blind child and their family should have the skills and confidence they need to live their life without limits. We work with blind children and young people and their families to develop the skills they need to overcome the barriers to realising their hopes, dreams and ambitions.

Story

After the New York Marathon last year I got a bit overexcited and popped my name in the ballot for Chicago, knowing there was a slim chance of getting in, then oops I got in!!! After swiftly depleting my bank account to book hotels and flights I broke the news to my one man support crew, my husband, who was not too disappointed he now had to go to Chicago!

This will be my 3rd World Major after London and New York which is quite exciting!

I am of course running for the wonderful Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC) whose work with blind children and their families across England and Wales is unmatched. From the point of diagnosis we are there beside families as they navigate their child's journey with blindness, as well as providing amazing opportunities for children and young people to come together and share experiences and build their skills and confidence.

I see every day first hand the work this superb charity does and that's why I'd like you to spare a few pennies or a a few pounds to support me with the motivation to get this race done.

It doesn't matter how many marathons you do, its a really long way, and knowing you are running for a cause really keeps you going.

Thanks for sponsoring me, it really means alot!!!!
