Story
🏏 Join us for another special day in memory of our beloved son and brother, Carlin.
After the incredible turnout and generosity at last year’s memorial match, we’re proud to be holding a second event to celebrate Carlin’s life and his love of sport — bringing together family, friends, and the local community once again.
Thanks to your support last year, the funds raised helped cover the rent, lighting and heating of SANE’s Helpline Room for an entire month. This enables their SANEline emotional support service to operate 365 days a year, offering vital help to those who need it.
A little more about SANEline: they’re there to support those who feel they’ve reached a moment of crisis. As SANE explains, “we know that moment of crisis is different for everybody – some people can reach that point daily, and for some people it is a rare occurrence.”
Their trained helpline volunteers provide a non-judgemental, empathetic space to talk — whether it’s about your own mental health or that of someone close to you. The service is open every day of the year from 4pm to 10pm on 0300 304 7000, serving people across Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
We kindly ask for donations to SANE to help continue this essential work.
There will be a bar and BBQ which will support our local Long Ditton Cricket Club.
Let’s honour Carlin, support our local club and a great cause close to our hearts, continue making a difference, and enjoy another memorable day together.
🗓 Date: Sunday, 7th September 2025
⏰ Time: From 12 pm, with the match starting at 1 pm
📍 Location: Long Ditton Cricket Club, Stokes Field, Betts Way, Long Ditton, KT6 5HT
Your presence and contributions mean the world to us.
Thank you,
Marina, Dylan, and family
