Our incredible team of runners are taking on the iconic Royal Parks Half marathon to change the face of men's health. Donate to support men's mental health, and to fight prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Story

I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon this October in support of Movember – my 10th year backing this incredible cause.

Our fathers, partners, brothers, and friends are facing a health crisis that too often goes unspoken. Men are dying too young. Whether it’s prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, or suicide — the statistics are staggering, but the silence can be even more deadly.

That’s why Movember exists. Since 2003, they’ve funded over 1,250 men’s health projects around the world — not just raising awareness, but actively reshaping how we think about men’s health. From cutting-edge research to life-saving mental health programs, Movember is about early detection, better treatment, and open conversations. That’s a mission I stand behind wholeheartedly.

Why am I running?

Two years ago, I hit reset on my own wellbeing. I got back into the gym, started paying closer attention to my nutrition, and began rebuilding my physical fitness. What started as a quiet personal goal turned into something more social — and a bit competitive — when friends encouraged me to sign up for a 10K. To my surprise, I enjoyed it. We crossed the finish line and immediately signed up for a half marathon. Unfortunately, an injury forced me to pull out of that race, but the setback just made me more determined.

So here I am — training again, this time for the Royal Parks Half in October.

But this isn’t just about personal goals. Running has helped me mentally as much as it has physically. The structure, the movement, the sense of progress — it’s all connected. And that’s something I want to share and promote: when we take care of our physical health, we often find it supports our mental health too. There’s a multiplier effect — a real and tangible boost to overall wellbeing when we look after both sides at the same time.

Why Movember?

This is my 10th year supporting Movember. Over that time, I’ve seen firsthand how mental health struggles can affect the people we care about — sometimes silently, sometimes with tragic outcomes. I’ve lost friends to suicide. I’ve seen others pull back from the brink because someone reached out or listened.

That’s why I believe in the power of awareness. In knowing what to look out for. In asking, “How are you, really?” and meaning it. In giving men the space and tools to talk more openly about health and wellbeing.

It doesn’t take much to make a difference — but it does take something. And this year, I’m putting in the miles to help move the needle.

If you can, please support me by donating to Movember. Every contribution helps fund projects that are saving lives and changing the conversation around men’s health.

Thanks for reading — and see you at the finish line.
