Story

Charles Lobban, aged 58, died suddenly and unexpectedly at home from sudden cardiac death. Husband to Trudie, Founder & CEO of Arrhythmia Alliance, STARS and AF Association, it was ironic that Charles last words were Trudie, I am going to faint before collapsing to the floor, unresponsive.

The charity, STARS, was established because their youngest daughter, Francesca, suffered with syncope (fainting); Charles worked alongside Trudie to raise awareness and support patients and their families in seeking a diagnosis and treatment. In the year or so before his death, Charles helped launch the Arrhythmia Alliance campaign to place Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in communities to save lives from sudden cardiac death.

Sadly Charles could not be saved on that fateful day, however, we can ensure his memory lives on through A-A Defibs Save Lives.
