Sadly my amazing mum was diagnosed with bulbar Motor Neurones Disease in March 2024. Since then her speech has been effected and she can no longer communicate verbally, her swallow is effected and she uses a feeding tube to maintain a good fluid intake and her breathing will be effected. This disease is the worst thing in the world and no one understands how cruel it actually is until you need to live with it. My mum is my best friend and going through this is like a living nightmare. She is my inspiration. I am beyond determined to continue to raise money for Marks Charity, another MND warrior who continuously fights to find a cure, I can only have faith that there will be a cure available in the near future, but I understand it needs people like myself to step up and help raise awareness and money for research. Myself and my girls will be taking part in a sky dive in St Andrews to raise money for The Mark Sommerville Foundation. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, and every little helps.
