Story
*Heads up that if you do choose to give anonymously I don't get to see who you are so I don't get the delight of thanking you for your support. And I'd very much like to be able to thank you.
On 10 May, I’ll be walking 20km (12.5 miles) to raise money for Future Dreams, and I’d really appreciate your support.
As you likely know, I’ve had my own journey with breast cancer, and this feels like a small way to pay forward some of the incredible support I was lucky enough to receive.
I’ve recently started volunteering at Future Dreams, and it’s everything I wish I’d had access to in one place during treatment. Any support you’re able to give would mean a lot.
Future Dreams is raising funds to support women through their breast cancer journey. FD works on a number of campaigns to create awareness and fund research projects, with a main focus on secondary breast cancer.
Over 50,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year, the equivalent of one person every 10 minutes according to Breast Cancer Care. To date Future Dreams has raised over £5m pledging funds towards the charities three aims - support, awareness and research, focusing on secondary breast cancer.
