In October 2024 our close friend Chris was diagnosed with Myeloma, a type of blood cancer. Life for Chris and Jo, his wife, suddenly changed completely, and they have had no choice but to deal with everything a cancer diagnosis entails. They are doing this with amazing strength and we are so proud of them!

In September 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Northumberland Coast Mighty Hike, a 26 mile walk, to help raise money for people living with cancer.

I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £250 pledge, which can pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
