The four of us are hiking ‘The Golden Valley Pilgrim Way’ in Herefordshire this summer, carrying all our own stuff, in bags we hate (from last year) and this year we are lugging our own sleeping bags too.

We are very intrepid.

Every evening, for added fun, we will be sleeping in churches (sanctuaries) along the route (on camp beds despite having a combined age of over 200).

We’d like to raise some money for Sal’s Shoes as they do great work, at home and abroad supporting young people and families with shoes that would otherwise be unaffordable. Great for humanity and the planet.

Their mission is to;

‘We take donations of preloved and new shoes and find them new feet worldwide, enabling children to step confidently into their futures.’

We are all teachers and we’ve seen first hand the dignity that a decent pair of shoes can provide.
