Hull Animal Welfare Trust was established in 1982. In those 30 years, the Trust has taken in, cared for and re-homed thousands of animals; mainly dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. The Trust is based at South Cave and has minimal paid staff, fully supported by a band of dedicated volunteers.

Story

The students at Options Barton School have spoken and have voted for Hull Animal Welfare Trust as the chosen charity to raise money for!

For those of you who know me well, have spoken to me recently, any colleagues, students, friends and family will already know that I plan to run the Yorkshire Marathon on Sunday 15th October! My aim is to not only complete the marathon un-injured, but to beat my Amsterdam Marathon time of 4hours and 36 minutes which my younger self achieved in 2011, and if I can beat my Garmin predicted time of 4hours and 7minutes it will be the cherry on the cake!

Please support my journey to complete the Yorkshire Marathon, and raise money for Hull Animal Welfare Trust! It will really spur me on as I try to smash through the dreaded wall! This fantastic local charity located in South Cave have rescued and re-homed over 30,000 abandoned and unwanted cats and dogs! The donations received support the vet bills, shelter, food, and neutering programme. No animals in distress are ever turned away!

Every penny really does count!
