8 years ago my mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. It has been a difficult time for her and our family but we have worked hard to take care of her and keep her involved as much as we can in family activities.

Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure. We know it is scary but we must confront the biggest health & social care challenge of our time. We owe it to the 900,000 people across the UK currently living with dementia to campaign for change, whilst providing vital day-to-day support.

My 3 sisters and I are doing the 5km Memory Walk in London. Money we raise will help the Alzheimer's Society to continue to support individuals and families affected by this condition.
