Story
Welcome to my fundraising page!
I am participating in the 'Keeping The Heart Healthy in 2024' personal challenge to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
This cause is close to my heart as two years ago, I lost someone very dear to me - my dad - due to heart failure. It was a devastating experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Over the course of the following months I will be committing to completing the following challenges
* March - I will swim 30K (1200 lengths of 25m pool)
* April - I will run 100K (62 miles)
* May - I will cycle 50K (31 miles) on a static because I didn't ride learn to ride a bike till I was almost 25 so roads terrify me 🙈
* In July I will be completing the North Downs 50 Ultra Challenge a looped 50 km (31miles) route which takes in some of the best of the Surrey hills, the North Downs Way, and the surrounding countryside.
* September - Sky Dive (15,000ft)
The BHF has made significant strides in reducing the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK, but there is still so much work to be done. That's why I'm asking for your support. With your help, we can fund new treatments and discover new cures that will save lives.
Did you know that just £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist? Every pound counts, and any amount you can give will make a difference.
My goal is to raise £750 by September 30th 2024.
Please join me in supporting this important cause. Together, we can make a real impact on the fight against heart disease.
