We provide all-Wales emergency air cover to serve Wales & save lives 365 days a year

Story

Ruby, Caz, Mike & Simon; four medics from the Wales Air Ambulance, have decided to ‘take on the Dragon’, and enter IRONMAN Wales 2024.

We’ve been meaning for some time to put our efforts into raising money for the charity we care passionately about. We all work as Critical Care Practitioners for the service, and see first hand the difference that can be made to the people of Wales.

Let’s just say that some crew room chat escalated quickly into taking on one of the toughest endurance events in the world, let alone Wales.

We thought, we aren’t going to do things by halves, and it just seemed right to take on the legendary Welsh Ironman in Tenby, as a team from the Wales Air Ambulance!

The training is brutal but all donations serve as a superboost of motivation, as we have the privilege to see the positive effect this has on the people of Wales.

Thank you so so much!
