Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So in May of this year I’m hitting the big 50 (I know, I don’t believe it either!!) Where most ladies my age celebrate by having spa weekends or bottomless brunches with the girls, I’m “celebrating” by running the London Marathon in April (yeeaaay!) and running the Lakeland 50 in July (a 50 mile race in the not very flat Lake District) - a mile per year, why not?!?
I was really lucky to get my London place through my fabulous running club’s ballot - thanks Kingstone Runners ❤️🖤 and I’ve paid to run the 50 miler - mad I know!
As these aren’t particularly easy challenges, I thought it would be a good opportunity to raise a bit of sponsorship and do some good while I’m at it….
As some of you will know, we very sadly lost our lovely running buddy David Howes in March of this year. Howesy was one of the nicest people you could ever meet, he was always there with a smile, a laugh, cheering everyone on with oodles of encouragement. It was Howesy who “encouraged” me to sign up for my first marathon (Windermere ‘22) and look where that has led - thanks Howesy, I will always be grateful xx
With permission from David’s family, I’m going to be raising funds for Immunodeficiency UK. Immunodeficiency is a condition which David was diagnosed with 10 years ago and the organisation do a fantastic job at supporting sufferers and their families with all the help and advice they need. You can read more about the fabulous work they do here….

If you could spare a pound or two in the name of my mad escapades and to support this wonderful charity it would be very much appreciated and we would be eternally grateful! xx
