Story
Yesterday, I ran the Reading Half Marathon as a warm-up for the London Marathon on 26th April 2026.
Honestly, it was way more emotional than I expected. Crossing that finish line made me realise this marathon isn't just a personal challenge.
Then learning that only 2% of people get a spot through the London Ballot, and that a year ago I couldn't run more than 5K, this feels like an opportunity to do something a bit more meaningful.
I've decided to raise money for War Child, a charity that protects, educates, and supports children and families living through the horrors of war. With everything happening in the world right now, it felt right.
When I'm running, I think a lot. I think about how fortunate I am to have my health, my safety, and the freedom to simply run around. Not everyone has that.
So, if you'd like to chip in and support this cause, no matter how small, that would be a lovely thing, and genuinely appreciated.
And if your supporting on the 26th, a shout or a cheer as I shuffle past would go a long way too! Thank you. 💙
