Story
This year, we're walking the 'Beat the 13 Tors' event on Dartmoor in memory of our little sister Vicky, Vix — our rebel, an adventurer, a one-off.
She could be delightful and maddening, funny and serious, a rule breaker and a rule setter (hers, of course), fiercely loving and loyal. She inspired the deepest of friendships and we miss her every day.
She walked her own path through life (including hitch-hiking the breadth of Canada until the soles of her shoes wore through), and now we, her sisters Liz & Caro, will walk in her honour, cementing our own friendship whilst we miss hers.
She’ll be right there with us in spirit.
Whilst her final illness took her too quickly to need palliative care, we know that had this been needed in the UK then Marie Curie would have been there for her, and for us.
Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, they bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care you receive at home, in their hospices and over the phone. And they push for a better end of life for all by campaigning and sharing research to change the system.
Marie Curie is a charity working across the UK and we need your support to help them do their vital work.
THANK YOU ❤️🙏
