Story
Grassroots Suicide Prevention empowers people to help save lives from suicide through educating, connecting and campaigning nationally.
Living and working in East Sussex I have seen the impact of deaths by suicide, both professionally and personally. I am not alone in knowing someone who has been affected by this issue.
I am running the Brighton Half Marathon to raise both awareness of this issue and funds for Grassroots Suicide Prevention (GSP).
I am doing this in memory of Charlotte Walters who will be forever 18 and is always in our thoughts.
GSP know suicide can be prevented with timely intervention. Most people who die by suicide want their pain to end, not their lives.
60,000 people have been trained by us to have life-saving conversations.
