This September, a team of four from Allied World (Alexandra, Sunil, Martin and myself) will be cycling over 300km from London to Paris to raise money for Furnishing Futures, and for the prospect of a nice croissant!

Furnishing Futures is an East London charity that supports survivors of domestic abuse who are rebuilding their lives. They transform empty, unfurnished social housing into safe, healing, beautifully designed homes. Many survivors are rehoused with no flooring, beds, furniture or clothes washing facilities which increases the likelihood of returning to their previous homes. Furnishing Futures work brings dignity, stability, and hope to people starting over and every donation helps change a life.

Your donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference and their amazing work speaks for itself as you can see from the pictures.

After developing foot drop in 2021 I've been limited to what activities I can do, however cycling is something I can and so am taking on this challenge to give me something to aim for as well as raising money for an amazing cause.
