Story
I am inviting donations for the charity icandance, having completed a 166 mile walk (about 265 km) on the first part of the Camino del Norte from San Sebastián to Santander. The Camino del Norte is part a network of pilgrimage routes on the Camino de Santiago, all routes leading to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain. For environmental reasons, I do not fly and I arrived at our starting point, by boat, train and bus, ready to begin on 27th August, walking for 12 consecutive days, to finish on 7th September.
Thank you so much for your donations to support the important work of icandance, a therapeutic dance community based in London for disabled children and young people and their families. I have been involved with icandance for many years and now my adult daughter is a supported volunteer. Icandance is also a placement partner at Goldsmiths, providing student placements for trainee dance movement psychotherapists, many of whom have gone on to gain employment with icandance, providing valuable opporunities to become part of a community that welcomes disabled children and young people and their families through the power of dance.
