The Youth Hostel Association "YHA" is a registered charity that aims to help all, especially young people of limited means, to develop a greater knowledge, love and care of the countryside, and appreciation of the culture of towns and cities by providing affordable accommodation. They provide a lot of accommodation to schools and other groups and for many children their residential school trip is the only holiday they have.

There are an increasing number of schools that are not arranging school trips particularly those with overnight accommodation as they are seeing many families can’t afford the cost. This is especially heart breaking when considering how affordable YHA is. As a result, YHA are fund raising to fund overnight school trips for children that can’t afford to attend via their campaign “No Child left Behind”.

I am keen to support YHA and the "No Child left Behind" campaign and will be doing a sponsored challenge on Wednesday 6th September 2023, taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peak challenge. This sees the 3 highest peaks in Yorkshire conquered by completing a 25 mile walk within 12 hours.
