On my 60th birthday in lieu of presents I would love you to donate to my chosen charity…. MND Association. As you all know John has had symptoms for 7 years and was diagnosed 4 years ago with MND. This disease has no cure but lots of work is being done by brilliant scientists to find some treatments and hopefully a cure for this devastating disease.

It has changed our lives in so many ways and if we can help to move the research forward it would be so good. It has affected John who now can not walk and is unable to feed or shave himself. But most devastating for John is he is now unable to speak and communicates with the aid of an iPad…… it has affected our whole life including our plans for retirement….. and although we do as much as possible this is a disease that needs a cure.

So from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you for your donation and the best birthday present would be for a breakthrough in the research to give some HOPE to all who suffer and their families…..
