Running for Hope 💛

This November, Caroline, Lirika and Alice will be running the TCS New York Marathon in support of the Manx Charity Stand Up To Suicide.

The three friends, are coming together for a cause that means a lot to them. They are running in memory of Caroline’s sister, Yvonne Cowin, and in honour of all families affected by suicide and the sudden loss of loved ones.

Although Yvonne wasn’t personally known to Lirika or Alice, her story and the courage Caroline has shown in the face of such heartbreak – has deeply moved them both. What began as a challenge to take on something extraordinary has grown into a shared journey of love, remembrance, and hope.

Training has been tough, and there have been moments of doubt (and plenty of laughter too!), but every step is dedicated to those who are no longer with us, and to the people who continue to live with loss every day.

They’re hoping to raise £1,000 to help Stand Up To Suicide continue its vital work here on the Isle of Man, supporting individuals and families, raising awareness, and helping to break the silence around mental health and suicide.
