Story

🎄🎄🎄

Every year our road (Simonds Grove, Spencer’s Wood) light up the sky’s with Christmas lights to raise money for charity. My mother in law, Hilda sadly died of cancer on my son’s birthday (19th December) and her favourite time of year was Christmas. Our family like so many others were supported by MacMillan and this year, our road will be trying to raise money again for this wonderful charity as many families rely on this support.

There will be people who really struggle around this time of year, but I hope we can bring a little joy (most certainly light 😂 to our wonderful neighbourhood.

The roads lights are normally in full swing around the 2nd week of December and remain up until New Year’s Eve.
