Caroline's fundraiser for Clydesdale Community Initiatives

Caroline Mclaughlin is raising money for Clydesdale Community Initiatives

Sponsored Silence · 16 June 2025

Clydesdale Community Initiatives (CCI) provide support to anyone experiencing exclusion due to mental or physical health issues, learning or physical disability or any other reason, to make a contribution to their community via various tangible projects which are run by our experienced groupworkers.

Story

My kids have always said I could talk for Great Britain so I am taking part in a sponsored silence to raise money for Clydesdale Community Initiatives.

CCI is an independent charity and social enterprise that supports people with a range of challenges from health, disability and social circumstances to contribute to their community. At Langloch farm they focus on their participants strengths and interests in their mission statement 'everyone contributes, everyone gains' to ensure that they are not judged purely on the sum of their challenges but rather are viewed as useful members of their communities, work teams, and further education.

For the past 3 years myself and my work colleagues have spent a day volunteering at one of the therapeutic gardens that alongside NHS Lanarkshire's green health opportunities both patients and staff alike. We do this in memory of our Team Leaders uncle who was one of the original volunteers at the garden while his wife was a patient.

I would be grateful for any contributions you are able to give to reach my target.
