Help Support Families During Their Darkest Days
In September 2023, I was diagnosed with lymphoma—a life-altering shock that came out of nowhere. Until then, I was symptom-free, running regularly, and living a healthy, active life. Just weeks before surgery, I completed a 10K run. It's hard to believe how quickly life can change.
I am forever grateful to my amazing GP, who prioritized my care and fast-tracked me down an alternative path to ensure I was seen within six weeks of discovering the lump in my neck. Without this swift action, I would have faced a ten-month wait for a referral—an unimaginable delay that might have turned my stage 2 diagnosis into something far more serious.
I believe that no matter what challenges we face, we can get through them with love, support, and a positive mindset. Throughout my treatment, the one thing I made sure to do every single day was walk—unless I was too sick to move, I got my steps in. I always manifested good days, even when they were anything but, and I felt utterly drained.
This journey has shown me just how vital it is to know your body and trust your instincts. Early action can truly save lives. That's why I'm raising money for a fabulous charity that supports families through these incredibly tough times.
For me, this fundraiser is a chance to challenge myself and give back to those who offer hope, care, and comfort when it's needed most. Your contributions, big or small, will make a meaningful impact—and I’m deeply grateful for every bit of support.
Together, let’s make a difference. Remember: know your body, listen to it, and don’t hesitate to visit your doctor. It can change everything.
A huge shoutout to my incredible family, husband, kids, and friends who carried me through it all. I even had my own personal pharmacist!
