On 22nd August 2015, Jacob and Matt were killed as they travelled to play a football match for Worthing Utd. A pilot lost control of his plane in the Shoreham airshow, crashing on to the A27. Matt's car was the first vehicle to be struck and they were both killed instantly. The response and support from the whole football community has been overwhelming. The Schilt and Grimstone families are so grateful to Worthing Utd FC, Mile Oak FC, Brighton and Hove Albion and Sussex FA for their continued generosity and support. We know these two young men would be proud of their legacy in being able to raise money to support this amazing charity and to make their beloved game available to all. Football can change lives for the better and Brighton and Hove Albion Foundation is doing just that.

Every year Worthing Utd and Mile Oak play a pre season friendly at Sussex FA HQ in Lancing for The Matthew Grimstone and Jacob Schilt cup, followed by the friends and families of Matt and Jacob against a team from Mile Oak for the Grimbles and Snoobs cup.

This year the matches start at 1pm on 26th July at Culver Road Lancing.

Entry is by donation and there are excellent raffle prizes to be won and refreshments on sale. Come along and enjoy an entertaining family day out.
