Story
I’m incredibly lucky to have secured a ballot place for the London Marathon — and I’ll be running it in support of The Rainbow Foundation, a charity I’m proud to lead, and one that supports thousands of people across Wrexham and North Wales every single year.
Many of you will know how much Rainbow means to me. We work every day to help people age well in place, stay active, stay connected, and live their later years with dignity, joy, and confidence.
All of this against a worrying backdrop: people are living longer, yes — but too often in poorer health, with avoidable crises, and poor care at the end of life.
Our commitment remains the same: to challenge outdated narratives about ageing and to prove that people can age well, live well, and stay independent for longer — if the right support is in place.
That’s why I’m running.
That’s why I’m fundraising.
That’s why your support matters.
🏃♀️ A Movement for Movement
Everyone deserves the chance to move more, connect more, and live well as they age — right up to the end of life. Rainbow champions this every day: from mental health and wellbeing support, to physical activity programmes, to reducing loneliness, targeted dementia work, and helping people stay independent. We even support families with advance care planning and end‑of‑life decisions.
We want to spark a movement for movement — because ageing touches every single one of us, and the future we’re shaping now will be the one we all grow old into.
