Story

Castle School is an area Special School in Cambridge serving children from around the County.

We are raising funds to revamp the hydrotherapy pool.

This amazing pool heated to 94° F provides the students with essential hydrotherapy, therapeutic and sensory swimming, our aim is to raise funds to refurbish its sound and light system which make it even more special and stimulating for the students.

Therapeutic swimming, also known as aquatic therapy or hydrotherapy, uses water-based exercises to improve physical function and manage pain.

It is a physiotherapy method performed in a warm pool, where the water’s buoyancy reduces strain on joints and muscles, making movements easier and improving mobility, stamina, and range of motion.

Benefits include reduced pain, muscle spasms, and stiffness, enhanced cardiovascular response, and a more comfortable environment for exercise.
