Help Mabel and Families Affected by FOXG1 Syndrome

Hi, my name is Carrie-Ann, and I’m reaching out to share my friends story.

My name is Rena and my beautiful daughter, Mabel, is just 4 years old. She has been diagnosed with FOXG1 Syndrome, an incredibly rare and severe neurological condition that affects nearly every aspect of her development. It impacts her movement, communication, and many of the everyday things most of us take for granted.

Despite the challenges she faces every single day, Mabel is the happiest little girl. Her strength, determination and beautiful smile inspire everyone who meets her.

As her mum, I will do everything I can to give Mabel the best life possible while helping to raise awareness of this devastating condition and supporting research that could change the future for children like her.

On Sunday 2nd August 2026, we’re holding a family fundraising day at Blundeston Village Hall. Every penny raised will go towards the FOXG1 Research Foundation, helping fund vital research, resources, and support for families living with FOXG1 Syndrome.

If you can’t make it to the event but would still like to support our cause, any donation—no matter how big or small—would mean the world to us. Your kindness will help bring hope to families facing this rare condition and contribute to research that could improve lives in the future.
