Carrie's fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer UK

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
On April 6th, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon, but this isn’t just about crossing a finish line. It’s about honouring my uncle Jason’s memory and fighting for everyone affected by the cruel disease that took him too soon.
Jason was just 34 years old when he died from pancreatic cancer—a devastating illness that often goes undetected until it’s too late. He was fit, strong, and a dedicated runner, proving that this disease doesn’t discriminate. He completed three marathons—London twice and New York once—but his running was cut short far too soon.
Pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates of any major cancer, yet it remains hugely underfunded and under-researched. That’s why I’m running for Pancreatic Cancer UK, a charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund research, and provide crucial support to families facing this disease.
I’ve set a fundraising target of £1,000, and every single donation—no matter the size—will help fund life-saving research, better treatments, and support for those fighting pancreatic cancer today.
Jason never got the chance to run more, but I do. And I’m doing it for him, for those we’ve lost, and for those still battling.
If you can, please sponsor me—together, we can make a difference.
