We provide information, help and support to sufferers of Pernicious Anaemia (PA) including their families and friends. Our Mission: To secure a full and comprehensive review of the way in which Pernicious Anaemia is diagnosed and treated that will lead to more timely diagnoses and better treatment

Story

Hello, over the last few years I have been working at raising funds for this small charity that is very close to my heart after being diagnosed with PA in my 20's.

It is 'deadly' if left undetected and untreated! Which happens far too often.

I thank my lucky stars that I got diagnosed and treated meeting some amazing people on this journey, and learnt lots over the last 20 or so years.

That has given me the chance and tools to help PAS from the very beginning, knocking on the 'powers that be' doors, through to helping many others get their diagnosis and treatment.

After our dear friend Amanda was taken very young and very suddenly to cancer, and my Dad the following year to the same. It spurred me on to raise more funds for the PAS to help others where it matters.

We held 2 celebration of life parties, a few years apart, one with a 'Vintage Theme', and one with an '80's theme', it got everyone together to catch up and have fun, while raising monies for a good cause.

Over these events and further fundraising we raised a 'Whopping' £7,700, which means we are not far off our £10k target, so here's the pitch..... I thought I would put this out there, between my birthday 30th October and Christmas, to ask if anyone could even just afford a £1 donation it will really help.

Or use it as a fund to donate to, instead of buying me a birthday card, or Christmas cards and postage this year for friends and family? :)

It maybe I or one of our other volunteers have given the support and help you needed on your health journey and you'd like to drop in a couple of pounds as a thank you?

Whatever your reason or amount of donation, we have proved, collectively we can move mountains and achieve lots.

When donating please be 100% confident, that all of this money will be going directly towards projects within the PAS I feel will have the most impact.

Thank you for your continued support over the years I/ we are eternally grateful.

Here's to our last push only £2,300 we can do this :)

Best wishes and Health to you ALL xxx Caz xx
