Story
I am fundraising for the campaign to help a colleagues friends 16 Year Old Boy Access Life Saving Treatment for Friedreich’s Ataxia.
As a parent myself, and representing others who want to help, I'm dusting off my running shoes. Having done my last half marathon in 2013, I remember finishing in a dramatic, childish way (and having to go back to get my medal). However, I have been inspired by the courage of this young boy and his supporters to do my part in making a difference.
Supported by family who are also participating in the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run on October 4th, 2026, we hope to raise much-needed funds for this vital cause. Our target is to gather £1,000 to ensure that he can access the treatment he desperately needs. Every step we take during this marathon is not just for us; it’s for him and all those affected by this condition.
I kindly ask you to join us in this journey. Your support can help change lives and bring hope where it is needed most.
