As the frontline of the NHS in Scotland, we provide an emergency ambulance service to a population of over 5 million people serving all of the nation’s mainland and island communities. Our Charitable Funds support services by enhancing the environment for patients and staff.

Story

As many of you will know, Graham Waddell sadly passed away on Thursday 23rd November, having suffered a Heart Attack. Graham has been such an important part of Carrington, having been here as a boy here between 1976-1981 and more recently as a parent. Graham could often be found on the touchline of the rugby pitch cheering on his son, Duncan (5th form), much Duncan’s embarrassment. In fact, only two days before his passing, a number of boys were talking to him as he cheered Duncan on.

Graham was a larger than life character and leaves a significant hole in the Carrington community. As such, the boys would like to raise money in his memory, this Sunday 17th March for the Scottish Ambulance Service, an organisation that were so pivotal in trying to save Graham’s life in November.

All boys in Carrington will be running a 10k and in some exceptional cases a Half-Marathon.

Please do give what you can to this amazing organisation.

Yours,

Sam Shelley
