Over the course of the next 8 weeks - I’m taking part in Fight Night to raise money for Beatson Cancer Charity, a cause that means more to me than words can say. I’m dedicating this fight to my mum who passed away due to cancer. Her strength throughout her battle will forever be a massive inspiration to me. Losing her changed my life forever, and I wouldn’t wish that pain or struggle on anyone. By stepping into the ring, I hope to honour her memory and help raise funds for life-saving treatment and support, and help ensure that other families don’t have to endure the same heartbreak. This isn’t just about learning a new skill to me, it’s about remembrance and fighting back against a disease that takes too much from too many.
