Caryl's Story

Alzheimer’s Society is organising Trek26, a half-marathon starting at Bakewell and, with 3 other people who also have Alzheikmer’s, I have formed a relay team to go over this course. Although we cannot run the actual Trek26 as a relay team, we can, with Alzheimer’s Society support, each cover a leg of this 13.1 mile course. This Pre-Trek26 event will take place on Tuesday 9th June. Like other members of the relay team this will be a challenge for me but this is my attempt to fight back against Alzheimer’s by raising lots of money to fund research to find a cure for this dreadful disease.
