Climbing Kilimanjaro for Meningitis Research Foundation
From 28th August to 4th September 2025, I will be taking on the challenge of a lifetime—climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa standing at 5,895m above sea level and one of the Seven Summits of the world, to raise crucial funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF). The hike is tough, physically and mentally. But with your support and the knowledge that I’m raising money for a cause so close to my heart, I’m determined to complete this challenge.
Why am I doing this?
Meningitis and septicaemia are life-threatening conditions that can strike without warning, and their impact is devastating. In the UK alone, around 1 in 10 people who survive meningitis are left with life-changing after-effects, such as brain damage, hearing loss, or amputations. I’m taking on this challenge to help ensure that fewer families have to face this heartbreak. By supporting the Meningitis Research Foundation, you’re helping fund vital research into prevention, treatment, and ultimately a cure for these deadly diseases. Your donations will also support awareness campaigns and lifesaving support for those affected.
My fundraising target is £4970—and I can’t do it without your help. Every penny you contribute will bring us closer to a future where fewer people have to face the heartbreak of meningitis.
Here’s how you can support me:
Donate: Any amount, big or small, makes a difference.
Share: Help me spread the word! Share this page with friends, family, and colleagues.
Cheer me on: I’ll need all the encouragement I can get as I face this incredible challenge!
I’ll be training hard for this journey, but it’s your generosity that will keep me going when the going gets tough. Together, we can make a lasting impact in the fight against meningitis.
Thank you for your support!
