Story
In 2025 I was set to take part in The Route challenge. Sadly, just a few weeks before taking part, I crashed and fractured my pelvis. After 10 long weeks of recovery and lots of walking and swimming, I was able to get back on the bike and am now working towards taking part in this epic challenge in the summer of 2026! I will join a team of female amateur cyclists, who will take on the challenge of conquering every stage of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift (TdFFAZ), just one day ahead of the professionals.
This epic journey isn’t just about pushing physical limits—it’s about making a difference. Every pound raised will go directly to Cure Leukaemia, the official UK charity partner of the TdFFAZ. These funds will support the revolutionary ATICUS Network, breaking barriers in clinical trial access for children battling blood cancer and bringing hope to families across the UK.
This challenge is especially important for me as I'll be riding for my Grandfather, who has been battling Myelodysplastic Syndrome for many years. Although this syndrome isn't Leukaemia, it IS a bone marrow cancer that is related to Leukaemia and can eventually morph into Leukaemia. While these funds may not directly change his fight, they can bring hope to others like him by opening doors to clinical trials and new treatments that save lives. I hope to make him proud as I take on this challenge! (And don’t worry — if you donated last year, your gift is already carried over for 2026. Thank you again for being part of my journey!)
Together, we have the chance to turn miles into medicine and determination into hope. Your support means the world to me, and every donation brings us closer to a future where no family has to face blood cancer alone. Thank you for being part of this journey.
