Story
Hi I’m Cass. When I grew up we didn’t have very much and I was close to several people who had significant mental health problems. I really benefitted from support from my local youth group and church and am still in contact with those people today. I am passionate about supporting young people in their local area to live their best lives. I love the work Netmakers are doing in Harrogate to provide youth groups, mentor young people and develop young leaders. To support them I am walking (or more like scrambling!) up and down the 3 Peaks in the Dales on 12th July 2025 with a group of like minded friends. This will be a relay challenge for me as I am afraid of heights and have a knee which likes to dislocate!
Please give to support our young people locally.
Here is a bit more about the work of Netmakers:
Across our area people are facing significant challenges; rising isolation, struggling families and a growing mental health crisis. Netmakers exist to help churches, organisations and local government to work together, share resources, and avoid duplication.
Working particularly with young people, they seek to see them live up to their full potential. From mentoring programs in schools, to a free drop-in youth club in the heart of town, Netmakers are providing young people with the support, guidance, and community they need to flourish.
With our support, Netmakers can expand their reach, and create even more opportunities for young people to find connection, purpose, and hope.
Every donation helps to continue their mission and supports the mental and emotional well-being of our youth and provide them with the tools they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
Please consider giving today to help us transform the lives of young people in our community.
