Story
Dear Reader,
In June, I will be taking part in a sponsored charity ride across Mallorca for the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.
We will be cycling in excess of 800km over five days in order to support our charitable foundation that has provided phenomenal support to UK charities since 1992 in fundraising over £110m to improve the quality of life for those people in need as a result of disability or disadvantage.
I will be conquering the infamous Tramuntana mountains and climb up to the small village of Lluc. Some of the 'highlights' supposedly include the lighthouse at Cap Formentor and the Sa Calobra.
Needless to say, I haven’t done enough training and I am starting to get worried…
Castell have worked closely with the Foundation over the last year, most recently in supporting the Change Foundation in their application for funding for the Fencing 4 Change project.
This project uses fencing sessions after school for young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Foundation provided funding for the project over three years.
You can watch this video on the SJP Foundation or read about the Fencing 4 Change project here.
Thanks in advance for any humorous comments and any support you can give about my snug fitting lycra…!
