Story
🌟 Help Us Transform Learning at Castle School
Imagine being afraid of everyday places like the doctor’s surgery, the dentist, a busy supermarket or even a classroom.
For many of our pupils at Castle School — children with learning disabilities and autism — these experiences can feel overwhelming and we want to change that.
🎯 Our Goal: £45,000
We are raising funds to create a state-of-the-art immersive learning space that will transform how our pupils learn, regulate emotions, and prepare for real life.
Imagine a classroom where walls disappear! Using interactive projection technology, sound, and realistic props, we will be able to turn a plain room into:
🌊 A coral reef
🏥 A GP surgery
🛒 A supermarket
🚌 Public transport
🌈 A calming sensory environment
A space that will be used every single day. Please take a look at the website of Immersive Interactive, our chosen supplier – you will be amazed!
💙 Why This Matters
Our immersive learning space will help pupils:
✔ Reduce anxiety before real-world appointments
✔ Practise life skills in a safe, supportive setting
✔ Build communication skills
✔ Improve emotional regulation
✔ Gain confidence and independence
This isn’t just exciting technology. It’s a bridge to the real world.
💙 Katie’s Story
Katie has complex medical needs. But anxiety makes every doctor’s visit distressing for her and her family.
In our immersive space, Katie will be able to:
• Practise entering her GP surgery
• Sit in a virtual waiting room
• Become familiar with medical equipment
• Rehearse consultations in a calm environment
Step by step, she’ll build confidence.
When she walks into her real appointment, she won’t feel afraid — she’ll feel prepared.
