Story
This September I’ve signed up to (hopefully) complete a 10K obstacle course known as the Wolf Run. To make the torture worth my while, I’d like to raise funds for non-profit Warwickshire-based animal sanctuary, FARS, founded in 1988 by Carole Webb, after she took in a sickly lamb (Larry) from a farmer.
Today, around 400 animals call the sanctuary home, many who are old and living with disabilities. Carole, now in her 80s, and her small team continue to volunteer their time for the animals despite many hardships over recent years - from weather extremes affecting food supplies and damaging buildings to covid impact and soaring costs.
I know that Carole has paid out her own pocket at times, refusing to turn away an animal in need and has chosen to live in a static caravan, putting the animals' comfort before her own.
I’d love it if you can help me make this event more meaningful by donating to help keep FARS running smoothly (they need roughly 90K a year), so they can continue the wonderful work they do.
