Hi All

I'm excited to join the Sevenoaks School team to run the London Landmarks half marathon in April in aid of raising money towards our bursary and endowment fund to create more financially assisted places being available to young people.

I have worked at Sevenoaks for 19 years, and can wholeheartedly vouch for what an outstanding school it is, and I am passionate about young people accessing the best education they possibly can. For me, no-one should ever miss out on that opportunity in life.

I can honestly say running a half marathon will be a personal challenge, despite repeatedly running 30-60m after a hockey ball for years I am not a long-distance runner so I will find training for, and running this distance tough.

However, I'm really looking forward to doing whatever I can towards a greater number of bursaries and financially assisted places being available so that more talented youngsters can access the opportunity to discover just how talented they are!

That's the important bit so I really hope you will support me on this very worthy cause, and I promise I will give it my all towards more young people being able to access and enjoy and brilliant education.
