Story
Six months after I met my girlfriend I was diagnosed with cancer. She was incredible - she looked after me, my kids, at times even my mum!
I ran all the way through my chemo, it helped me so much – and the day before my last chemo session I ran my own private half-marathon through London.
My girlfriend has now become my fiancé – and she’s fighting her own battle with cancer.
So now I’m running for her. To show her how much I love her, how much I’m with her every step of the way.
And the day before her last treatment I’ll be running a marathon through London – for her and for everyone who’s going through the terrible ordeal of chemo.
I’m hoping to raise some money for Macmillan Cancer Support along the way – so please do support me – and more importantly her - if you can (she’s very private, which is why I’m not naming her).
- My marathon is likely to be in July but the precise date is as yet unclear
(The pic is of me after a 10 mile run during my chemo treatment)
