Cathedral View's 100km Jurassic Coast Ultra for The Lullaby Trust

Cathedral View Childcare is raising money for The Lullaby Trust

Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge 2026 · 16 May 2026 to 17 May 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

The Lullaby Trust exists to keep babies safe and to keep grieving families supported. We fund life-saving research, empower families with expert baby safety advice and support grieving families through their darkest days. We won’t give up until no baby dies suddenly or unexpectedly.

Story

From 16-17th May, a team from Cathedral View Childcare will be taking on the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge in support of The Lullaby Trust, a charity dedicated to the prevention of sudden infant death and the support of bereaved families.

As part of this challenge, members of the Cathedral View Childcare team will complete the 100km route over two days, walking along the iconic Jurassic Coast. The challenge is physically and mentally demanding, but we are committed to completing it in support of this important cause.

Why The Lullaby Trust?

In September 2025, we welcomed a beautiful little girl, Hallie, to our new Littleport nursery. After months of liaising with her parents and waiting for a space at the new site, Hallie joined us for her settling-in sessions and first full nursery days. Hallie took straight to nursery life and she was a happy, content, and smiley little girl who quickly became part of our nursery family.

Devastatingly, Hallie left us on the Friday afternoon and passed away in her sleep overnight on Friday into Saturday due to Sudden Unexplained Death in Infancy (SUDI). She leaves behind her mum, dad, and older siblings.

With her family’s permission, we are raising money in Hallie’s memory. Through this challenge, we aim to support The Lullaby Trust’s vital work, raise awareness of SIDS and SUDI, and as a setting we want to help to provide training and guidance to local families on how to reduce risks and keep babies safe.

Thank you for supporting us, remembering Hallie, and helping to make a difference for other families.
