It is with great sadness that Stephen Wilks sadly passed away following a long battle with Myeloma cancer. Steve was looking forward to returning to Merchants’ Academy in September but sadly his condition quickly deteriorated.

Stephen worked at Merchants’ Academy and its predecessor Withywood School, for over 35 years. Steve played an important role in the Science department throughout those years with many of the community remembering him well. His commitment to the school and the students was evident in all he did which is why we would like to remember Steve by donating to the charity of his family's choice.
